CODEX COMMITTEE ON METHODS OF ANALYSIS AND SAMPLING

The 43rd session of the Codex Committee on Methods of Analysis and Sampling is scheduled for 13 – 18 May 2024 in Budapest, Hungary. Remote participation (verbal interventions via Zoom) will be possible for all plenary sessions; however, Members may wish to plan to have at least one in-person delegate attend the session in order to guarantee their participation in in-session working groups, for which remote participation will not be possible. The tentative schedule is available here.

WORKING GROUP ON ENDORSEMENT

The physical working group on endorsement of methods of analysis will take place in Budapest, Hungary on 13 May 2024. Remote participation (verbal interventions via Zoom) will be possible for the PWG. To join remotely kindly ensure you're registered for the plenary session: a link will be directly sent to your email address for participation. Further details are available here to PWG tentative schedule.

Delegations should review the Information Document: Guidance on Process for Submission, Consideration and Endorsement of Methods (INF_CCMAS_END:Related-Information-Documents-CCMAS).

Given the tight time frames delegations are encouraged to review the Agenda Items as they become available and be prepared to offer alternative suggestions if the methods or typing are not appropriate.

In an effort to assist the PWG, virtual sessions of the WG were held on 7 and 8 May. Further details is available here. The report of the VWG meetings will be made available as CRD2.
