非洲食品法典區域協調委員會 (CCAFRICA) - 區域協調員：烏干達
“非洲协调委员会”由食品法典委员会于 1972 年建立，其任务是“在制定与非洲地区相关的标准时进行一般协调”。该委员会于 1974 年在粮农组织（FAO）举行了第一次会议，有 19 个国家出席这次会议。
随着新区域协调员开始其任期，在非州大陆开放贸易之际，2020 年 5 月生效的《非洲大陆自由贸易区协议》（AfCFTA）在整个非州大陆加强了对管理卫生和植物检疫措施（尤其是食品安全）的高效系统的需求。
区域协调员设在乌干达国家标准局，这是贸易、工业和合作部下属的法定机构，作为其使命的一部分，负责监督标准的推广和使用。
作为区域协调员，乌干达计划通过调查、网络研讨会和讲习班的形式与各国密切合作，以确定需求和新出现的问题，提高对优先食品安全问题和法典标准的认识。一项试点研究还将从更广泛的角度探讨整个地区的食品安全状况。通过加强与非州联盟、非洲标准化组织和非洲大陆自由贸易区秘书处等区域机构的接触，乌干达还希望加强该地区的宣传工作。

Strengthening National Codex Committees
CCAFRICA has been involved in strengthening National Codex Committees in Lesotho,Swaziland and Zimbambwe.
This has empowered CCAFRICA to participate in the global standard development process and reap the benefits of implementing Codex Standards. CCAFRICA acknowledges the support of FAO in this endevour.
A workshop sponsored by the AU-IBAR was held in December 2015 in Senegal on Strengthening of National Codex Committees in the ECOWAS region block.

WHO: safer food for all
CCAFRICA was central in development of WHO :Safer Food For All document which is aimed to simplify application of the HACCP Principles in Small and Medium Enterprises(SMEs). CCAFRICA closely collaborated with WHO in the exercise.
