亚洲协调委员会于 1976 年 7 月在意大利罗马举行的食品法典委员会第 11 次会议上成立。该委员会的第一次会议于 1977 年 1 月在(印度)新德里举行。
区域协调员在中国国家食品安全风险评估中心开展工作。
中国作为协调员的主要优先事项包括加强对食品法典会议的参与,支持该地区食品法典工作的优先排序,加强食品安全标准的协调,并通过分享信息和定期更新区域内食品安全问题加速协调委员会的振兴。
中国还希望增进与观察员组织的合作,并提高区域成员、粮农组织(FAO)、世卫组织(WHO)和食品法典秘书处之间高效和有效的沟通。

Codex Asian region digs deep into strategic plan in Beijing workshop
At the next Codex Alimentarius Commission to be held in Geneva in July 2019, Codex Members are expected to adopt a strategic plan which will drive activities from 2020 to 2025 in parallel with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The two-day training workshop held in Delhi earlier this month focussed on enhancing the ability of 17 Asian countries to operate successfully in the Codex Alimentarius international standard-setting environment. Timor-Leste: a strong national food control system to ensure safe food consumption
On February 20th 2018, the Government of Timor-Leste officially became the 188th Member of the Codex Alimentarius Commission.

Timor-Leste becomes 188th Codex member
On February 20th 2018, a letter was sent from the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, to the State Minister and Minister of Health for Timor-Leste, Dr Rui Maria de Araujo, acknowledging their application to join the Codex Alimentarius Commission. And with this communication, the Government of Timor-Leste officially became the 188th Member of the Commission.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) antimicrobial resistance is an increasingly serious threat to global public health that requires action across all government sectors and society.
What is AMR?
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is the ability of a microorganism (like bacteria, viruses, and some parasites) to stop an antimicrobial (such as antibiotics, antivirals and antimalarials) from working against it.
