拉美加协调委员会区域:区域协调员厄瓜多爾

1976 年,由第十届食品法典委员会于 1974 年设立的拉丁美洲协调委员会在罗马举行了第一次会议,该地区的八个国家出席了会议。在该委员会第三届会议上,有人提议将委员会的名称更改为目前的形式(拉丁美洲和加勒比地区协调委员会),因为这样可以更好地反映该地区的成员组成。代表食品法典委员会行事的执行委员会在 1984 年的第 31 届会议上同意了这一变更。

拉丁美洲和加勒比地区是全球粮食生产和贸易的重要参与者。该地区生产足够的粮食自给自足和出口,该地区的水和土地资源可以生产更多的粮食。

该地区拥有巨大的自然财富、蓬勃发展的农业和对其人口至关重要的家庭农业部门。必须在所有地区继续促进和加强食品安全,以保障消费者的健康和公平公正的贸易。

厄瓜多尔担任协调员,协调员设在附属于农业和畜牧业部的机构 AGROCALIDAD。协调员的目标是在该地区的各国之间建立协同作用,相互支持以解决地区性问题,并研究应对共同挑战的解决方案。

协调员的进一步目标是增进各国之间的合作,加强发展中国家对食品法典委员会及其附属机构的参与。

Avocado Packing Company in Peru raises food safety awareness in a day of fun for staff

The Avocado Packing Company S.A.C. of the Mission South & Central America group celebrated "World Food Safety Day" this year with the motto: "Safe food, better health". Employee training at Brazilian food processing company improves food safety awareness

On World Food Safety Day, a food marketing and distribution company, Via Rovigo, based in the city of Sertãozinho, São Paulo in Brazil, devised a range of activities and actions to improve food safety awareness within the company’s facilities.
