近东协调委员会区域:区域协调员 沙特阿拉伯

1999 年,食品法典委员会第 23 届会议设立了近东区域协调委员会,将近东地区(FAO)和东地中海地区(WHO)的国家聚集在一起。该委员会于 2001 年在埃及开罗召开了第一次会议

现任近东区域协调员从设在利雅得的沙特食品与药物管理局展开工作。

协调员在食品法典方面领导该地区的目标包括发展和加强食品法典联络点和国家食品法典委员会,以及改善 CCNE 成员与其他地区和食品法典秘书处之间的沟通和协调。

另一个目标是在该地区经验丰富的国家和经验不足的国家之间发展科学和技术专业知识交流。

协调员旨在促进使用食品法典标准作为国家立法和法规的基础,并继续开展工作,在考虑到区域利益的基础上制定和审查食品法典标准。

Near East meeting, a precious space for open discussions around food safety

Delegates from 17 countries will gather at FAO headquarters in Rome, Italy for the 10th session of the FAO/WHO Coordinating Committee for the Near East (CCNE) from 11 to 15 November 2019. Regional Meeting for Near East begins in Rome

Codex filming in Lebanon

A camera crew from Flooded Cellar are currently in Lebanon making a video for Codex that looks at the relevance and importance of Codex standards, guidelines and codes of practices to the Near East region.
