COVID-19 / Codex Committee on Residues of Veterinary Drugs in Foods postponed

The host secretariat of the Codex Committee on Residues of Veterinary Drugs in Foods (CCRVDF) has confirmed that the upcoming session, due to be held in San Diego, USA from 25-29 May 2020 has been postponed due to the ongoing outbreak of COVID-19. In collaboration with the Codex Secretariat, discussions are underway to explore if the meeting could be rescheduled for early 2021 at the same location. 新型冠状病毒肺炎(COVID-19)/宣布取消三个食典委会议

新型冠状病毒肺炎疫情(COVID-19)/食典委会议时间表更新

食典委会议汇集了来自世界各地的专家;根据2020年会议时间表,在五大洲的多个国际地点共安排了15个法典委员会会议。在COVID-19疫情爆发后,粮农组织对其员工(包括食典委秘书处在内)提出内部指导意见,差旅安排将仅限于“重大任务和具有紧迫时效性的重要差旅”。因此,计划于2020年3月27-29日在法国举行的法典委员会东道国秘书处研讨会现已推迟。 粮农组织还推迟了3月份在意大利罗马粮农组织总部召开的外部与会人员超过50人的所有会议。 那么,在食品法典委员会于7月份召开会议之前,面对至少还要召开6次会议的食典委日程安排该如何处置?食典委秘书Tom Heilandt介绍了当前的状况,谈及未来几个月可能采取的应急预案。 问:首先,食典委会议时间表上列出的会议情况如何? Codex Committee on General Principles / meeting postponed

WHO / Draft resolution shows Codex standards can make a powerful contribution to food safety

The Executive Board of the World Health Organization has endorsed a draft food safety resolution and will now send it for consideration by the World Health Assembly (WHA) in May 2020.
