ACT/ New videos now out!

Three videos have been produced that describe the FAO-implemented and Republic of Korea-funded Action to support implementation of Codex AMR texts (ACT) project and demonstrate some of the successes of the project in the Plurinational State of Bolivia. The first video provides an overview of the Project, describing the four key areas in which improvement will help drive the fight against foodborne antimicrobial resistance. Those four project components promote improved awareness, monitoring and surveillance, governance, and good practices. In the video, [...]

ACT/ Agrifood businesses in Cambodia are ready to take on the challenge of addressing foodborne AMR

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is known as “the silent pandemic.” It is already a leading cause of death worldwide. If AMR is not tackled head on, it will continue to threaten many lives in the coming years. Consequently, AMR is a major focus of attention for FAO as food production contributes to the development of antimicrobial resistant organisms. Given the threat of foodborne AMR, FAO has undertaken the Action to support implementation of Codex AMR Texts (ACT) project with funding from the [...]
