GENERAL INFORMATION
The 54th Session of the Committee on Food Additives has been scheduled to take place in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China from 22 to 26 April 2024.

Physical working groups (PWGs) will take place on 19 and 20 April 2024 (see details below).

WORKING GROUPS
The following sessions are planned (English only):
• Friday 19 April (09:00-18:00 CST) and Saturday 20 April (09:00-12:30 CST): PWG on the General Standard for Food Additives (GSFA)
• Saturday 20 April (14:30-18:00 CST): PWG on Endorsement/alignment.

WEBCASTING OF PWG & PLENARY SESSION

The PWGs and the Plenary session with the in-session working groups and the side events will also be webcast in listening mode.
Delegations attending CCFA54 remotely cannot make verbal interventions and they will not be included in the list of participants of CCFA54.
The webcasting of the Plenary sesssion is available in Chinese, English, French and Spanish.
The language selection will be possible in Zoom option.

ONLINE PRE-REGISTRATION
Delegations attending the session physically should provide their information (names and addresses) through the Codex Online Registration system by accessing the link below, latest by 22 March 2024.

Login and password for the online registration have been provided to all Codex Contact Points and Contact Points of Observer Organizations.

ON-SITE REGISTRATION
On-site registration (to collect your badges and other materials) will be available on:
  • Friday 19 April and Saturday 20 April 2024 from 08.00 to 16.00 CST; and

  • Monday 22 April 2024 from 08.00 CST.

DOCUMENTS
The documents for the session are available in English, French and Spanish. There will be no distribution of working documents (including the report of the session) through the Codex mailing list (Codex-L) except for circular letters. All working documents, including conference room documents (CRDs), information for delegates and other relevant materials, will be published on the Codex website as they become available. We kindly remind you to obtain all documentation from the Codex website prior to the meeting as no printed documents will be made available at the session.
