Dr. Jeronimas Maskeliunas, WHO, presented the results of the CTF project noting that all activities had been completed as scheduled. Among these activities, Dr Maskeliunas mentioned the establishment of the Codex Contact Point and of the Interagency Coordination Council, and the development of a national Codex Alimentarius webpage. Other activities of the project included: the creation of a national pool of food safety experts, the development of national guidelines on Codex Alimentarius, and the organization of several workshops for Codex stakeholders in the country.

During the conference, national experts informed participants about food safety issues in the country and shared experience in using and implementing Codex standards.
