Comoros gets technical assistance on Agricultural Production Survey

Comoros organized a first mission from 31st October to 04th November 2022 to support the country in the design of collection tools for the Comoros agricultural production survey.
The agricultural production surveys package (AGPROD) and the use of the CAPI are essential elements of the integrated national system of agricultural statistics.
The discussions led to the adoption of the standard questionnaire, which provides for two visits to farms (the first visit after planting and the second visit after harvest).
The sections were reviewed during group work with the active participation of 10 national staff, including 3 women.
Explanations and guidance were given throughout the design process in plenary with constant interaction between participants and the trainer.
The main outcome of this first mission is the design of the survey tools (questionnaire and CAPI application) necessary to implement the data collection for the first passage of the survey.
